Flowers are rich velvet crimson red trumpet flowers, funnel shaped, and bloom all summer. This profusely blooming, vigorous plant sets hundreds of blooms which are nearly 2 inches in diameter. Use in the border or flower beds. The sweetly fragrant flowers blossom steadily all summer.
It will attract hummingbirds, and be sure to plant it in a location where its pleasant fragrance can be enjoyed. Flowering Tobacco care includes deadheading the spent blooms and light trimming to promote more blooming. Ornamental flowering Tobacco plants will drop their seed for next year. Grow in average, well-drained soil, full sun to partial shade. 3' to 5' tall. Nicotiana are a great family of very long-flowering half hardy annuals, great also for cutting.
