The velvet bean (Mu_cuna) is a species of plant that is indigenous to tropical climates. It is an annual shrub with climbing tendencies, belonging to the Fabaceae family. It grows best in areas where annual daytime temperatures are within the range 70-85. Shade to partial sun, Mu_cuna prefers a dark, rich soil. Usually grown for medicinal properties.
